The interior design process in a nutshell
It all begins with a vision - your vision. Perhaps you’ve seen a few too many HGTV shows. Or you’ve put together a perfectly planned Pinterest board. I’ll take your inspiration and ideas, and hone them into your own unique style. Once we clarify your style and taste, we can work together to plan out your home - whether you’re doing a full renovation or just refreshing a room.
Step 1: Learning & Brainstorming
I’ll get to know you, understand your lifestyle, and find out your home wish list. I’ll also document your space and make detailed measurements of rooms.
Step 2: Style Collages & 3D Layouts
Next, I’ll put together three style collages for you to react to. From there, we’ll nail down your unique style. I’ll also draft a few floor plans for you to choose from and discuss.
Step 3: Construction-Ready Plans
I’ll add dimensions and specifications to inform a general contractor if you’re renovating. Finally, I can help you get quotes for cabinet manufacturers and other contractors.
Step 4: Fabrics, Furniture, Lights & Art
It's time for your design vision to come to life. Together, we’ll decorate your home and decide on furniture, rugs, lamps, window treatments, accessories, and artwork.
Step 5: Kicking off Construction
I’ll coordinate with your contractor to take the heavy lift off your shoulders. I can also help tackle unforeseen construction challenges with creative design solutions.
Step 6: Styling & Beyond
Once construction is complete, I can help you put furniture and accessories in place. I’ll add finishing touches with art and accents to make your space truly complete.
